Freelance Design + Motion Graphics • KC local or Remote projects.

I'm an Emmy Award nominated Designer and Motion Graphics artist who has flourished in the design, production and post-production industries for the past 15+ years in Los Angeles, New York and Kansas City. During that time I generated highly creative and unique Motion Design and Animation concepts for film, video, and web-content, for numerous broadcast, commercial and corporate clients. I am currently available for Kansas City local or remote-based Freelance project work.

My earlier staff engagements include stints at Pittard Sullivan in Los Angeles, Spontaneous and PURE in New York City, and BicMedia in Kansas City. My freelance history includes relationships with numerous NYC facilities, studios and networks such as Anatomy, Imaginary Forces, Razorfish, Pyburn Films, RhinoFX, Beehive, OPEN, VH1 and TVLAND, to name a few.

When my family moved to KC in the summer of 2012, I accepted the position of Director of Design and Animation at BicMedia and became Bic's sole internal resource for the design and execution of motion graphics, print and logo projects for various broadcast, agency and corporate clients, on projects at both a local and a national level.

My previous position as Lead Designer/Animator at Spontaneous had me working directly with Creative Director, John Leamy, and also involved managing a stable of staff and freelance After Effects animators/designers while closely coordinating with Spon's CGI and Inferno components to deliver high-end motion graphics for Television and Film, including main titles, packaging, commercials and promos.

In 2008 I was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, along with fellow PURE team members, Creative Director Johanna Cokefair and Executive Producer Wendy Brovetto, in the category of "Outstanding Main Title Design" for my work as Lead Animator on the main titles for the Fox show, New Amsterdam. In 2009 the same PURE team also completed the title sequence for the acclaimed Scifi Channel show, Sanctuary.

I live in Overland Park, KS with my wife and our 5 year-old daughter.
